Back to Basics: Magnetic Island Maintenance Blitz

Council crews will deliver a coordinated program of maintenance and improvement works across Magnetic Island over approximately five weeks, focusing on roads, drainage, and community assets to help keep local infrastructure safe, accessible and in good condition for residents and visitors.
The works program will include road pavement and asphalt repairs, pothole restorations, drainage maintenance, line marking improvements, footpath repairs and signage and tactile safety upgrades across multiple locations including Picnic Bay, Nelly Bay, Arcadia, and Horseshoe Bay.
While some temporary traffic changes, minor delays and localised impacts may occur during construction, Council will continue working closely with the community and directly affected properties as individual projects are scheduled.
Approximately 20 projects are planned, focused on maintaining and enhancing roads, drainage and community assets.
These works will improve safety, accessibility and the long-term condition of essential infrastructure used by residents and visitors every day.
