The 2025 Powerlink Community Grants program is now open, with up to $450,000 available to support community initiatives throughout regional Queensland.

Community groups, community clubs and not-for-profit groups across 18 Local Government Areas are encouraged to apply for the grants, which are valued at up to $5,000 each.

Powerlink’s Townsville-based Community Relations Advisor Ben Galvin said he was proud to play a part in delivering the program, contributing tangible benefits to Queensland’s regions.

“It’s so important for Powerlink to support and uplift the communities in which we operate,” Mr Galvin said.

“We know that community groups, sports clubs and local associations are part of the fabric of regional Queensland.

“By supporting these groups through our grants program, we aim to promote resilience, safety, wellbeing and economic development within communities that host Powerlink’s projects.

“I encourage any community-based organisation that contributes to the overall cohesion of their community to apply.”

This year’s round is now open for community groups, clubs and organisations within the following local government areas:

  • Cloncurry

  • Richmond
