Petersen Creek Arcadia Maintenance Works

Townsville City Council will be undertaking essential maintenance works along Petersen Creek in Arcadia, commencing Monday, 14 July 2025.

These works form part of Council’s ongoing environmental management efforts aimed at reducing erosion and improving stormwater flow within the creek corridor behind Hayles Avenue.

This project is designed to enhance the creek’s resilience and mitigate the impacts of continued erosion.

The Petersen Creek Arcadia Maintenance works will commence on Monday, 14 July 2025 and are expected to take two (2) weeks to complete.

This project is proudly funded by the Commonwealth and Queensland Governments through the Natural Disaster Relief and Recovery Arrangements and delivered in partnership with Townsville City Council.
