This election, I'm asking Magnetic Island residents to choose experience when voting for the next Mayor of Townsville.
My focus is on experienced leadership, enhancing our liveability, and listening to the community before decisions are made that affect you.
As Townsville grows, I want to make sure that it doesn't lose the fantastic lifestyle that makes it such a special place to live. Magnetic Island is an important part of that. In my time as Division 3 Councillor, I've fought to have the Island recognised as more than just another suburb of Townsville. I'm proud of the infrastructure investments we've delivered - but there is more work to be done. As Mayor, I will ensure that Magnetic Island continues to be a priority in Council infrastructure investment and that locals' voices are heard in project planning.
I have the experience to deliver for the Island and make sure that we enhance the Island lifestyle that we love.
Madam ACTING Mayor, may I ask where you were when the community needed you most - after the Sooning St Bridge washed out?
The bridge began to fail in mid December of 2024
It collapsed in February 2025
At no stage have you organised a ward meeting on Maggie to advise the community of the process and timeframe and listen to concerns.
Sure, you turned up at the ratepayers group - that is not a ward meeting. Sure, you turned up with the big wigs
But did you within a reasonable timeframe organise a ward meeting with the officers present? No.
A resounding NO.

Seriously, what a load of waffle and BS. Greaney is power hungry< her talents are causing division and backstabbing> she is only nterested in keeping her seat on Council.
If, by sheer bad luck, she gets elected as Mayor then Maggie will retain its place as a backwater neglected by the TCC. A trained monkey would be a better representative
