You may be aware that there are some changes occurring on Magnetic Island in relation to the provision of aged care services.
ADA Australia provides information and advocacy support to people who have issues related to Commonwealth funded aged care services in Queensland.
Due to the recent changes in Aged Care legislation and upcoming changes to aged care services on Magnetic Island, an aged care advocate will be visiting Magnetic Island to offer support to aged care residents. We can help older people to:
Understand their rights when receiving aged care services
Identify local aged care providers
Raise and address care related concerns
Our advocate will be available at Uniting Church, 11 Turnbridge Street, Nelly Bay on Wednesday 5 November from 11am-1pm. Please feel welcome to meet with the advocate to ask questions, speak privately or just say hello. All services are confidential and free of charge.
Kind regards,
Jessica Jones
