To protect the public safety and amenity of Magnetic Island beaches, Council will soon commence conducting regular patrols on the foreshores to ensure vessels are removed.
Owners of vessels (such as Kayaks and Canoes) currently left on Magnetic Island's beaches and public areas are requested to find alternative storage options.
Any unattended vessels identified at the time of our patrols will be given a Notice to remove them. Failure to remove then will result in the vessels being seized and impounded.
Our aim is that the vessels will be removed by the owners and we won’t need to remove any.
